Amaechi's Impeachment: List Of Governor's Sins

The anti-Rotimi Amaechi lawmakers, led by Mr. Evans Bipi have listed the offences allegedly committed by the governor  that makes him impeachable.

The six anti-Amaechi lawmakers which is made up of their leader Bipi, Michael Okechukwu Chinda, Kelechi Godspower Nwogu, Martins Amaewhule, Victor Ihunwo and Ikuinyi-Owaji Ibani have vowed that the governor will be impeached when the time is right.

Speaking with The PUNCH in a telephone interview on Thursday, Mr Bipi said though they have the intention to impeach Amaechi the governor of Rivers state, they have no plans of doing such now, even though he is guilty of so many impeachable offences.

Listing Amaechi's impeachable offences, he said Amaechi’s interference in the affairs of the state judiciary and meeting with other members of the House of Assembly at the Port Harcourt Government House were impeachable offences that would count against the governor.

According to Bipi, meeting with lawmakers in Government House is an impeachable offence because that is not the hallowed chamber.

He also listed the alleged poor handling of the monorail project and purported seizure of the allowances of six lawmakers perceived to be against his (Amaechi) administration.

He said, “But why is Amaechi afraid of impeachment? If he has not committed any impeachable offence, why is he afraid?

"We will impeach him when the time comes. But for now, we have no plan to impeach the governor. But he knows that he has committed a lot of impeachable offences."

Meanwhile, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mr. Otelemaba Dan-Amachree, said Amaechi was not under any threat of impeachment and maintained that the governor had not committed any impeachable offence.

Reports surfaced online this morning that there was a fresh plot being arranged by a serving minister from the state, to persuade 6 House of Assembly members, the representatives of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to impeach the Rivers state governor, Amaechi.

I predicted Kefee's Death - Ara

Nigeria's renowned talking drummer Ara disclosed that she told Keffe about her death..According to Vanguard, she said

“I want to use this forum to appeal to my colleagues in the music industry. Less than two years ago, I had a dream about Keffee and immediately called her and narrated it to her, I also appealed to her not to make a joke of it….the rest is history.

Early this year, I had a dream and contacted Efe of NOW music as he’s the only one I could call and told him to please organise a forum for all musicians to assemble and pray against death amongst us (please confirm from Efe). It’s sad we had to lose my girlfriend, sister and

colleague…so sad. When a revelation comes like that, it means there is a way out. Once again, we need to come together as a body under one roof to rebuke and pray about this revelation I had early this year. Yes, we all have different sources of prayer but this is a prayer we all must observe together. I beg you all. I didn’t want to speak out but I have no choice than to”
